We can't blame it on the lack of browser support anymore - it's the government (IMO) that is stopping the outflow of traffic at the GFW. 
Japanese, on the other hand, get traffic, but those "#ยค%&!?& refuse to click. I may hold on to them for one more year and see what happens.
