Any Arabic speakers who can clarify the difference between

التكنولوجيا
and
التقنية

Which is the prime term? Thanks

both are equal and give the same meaning, just Technology-التكنولوجيا often used with it comes to New technologies like: Desktops, cell phones, Laptops ...etc
while technique/mechanism-التقنية always used to refer to both old and new technologies, that's why you will find التقنية have better trends: http://www.google.com/trends?q=%D8%A...86%D9%8A%D8%A9
