Traffic suddenly appearing on Arabic domains

I am starting to get daily traffic on several Arabic domains which are around 1 year old and have never received traffic before. They were indexed shortly after acquisition, but never received traffic until now. I didn't check yet, but I am guessing that it is type-in traffic.

Anybody else noticing similar trends? Does anybody have a list of which Arabic speaking countries already have IE7 on auto-update?

For me some arabic names (fresh regs) get a little bit of type-in from day one. Some never get any. I have one that gets 150/per month. It's a typo.

I've started getting traffic on year old combo russian domains that have also never received traffic.

Maybe google is trying to mitigate profit warnings by boosting parked domain rankings with the latest update. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

It would be a good idea, need to show the shareholders some positive news.

Hopefully they are weighting the domain name more for arabic countries...

They turned a blind eye to click arbitrage and let it fatten their bank accounts - but only while it was a symbiotic relationship. After Google had enough money, they didn't need the arbitragers any more and cut them all off like leeches.

Somebody in Google feels the same way about domain parkers. They will use us like pawns to build their cash reserves again, but when it starts to give them a bad image then they will cut us all off like leaches.

If the above sounds negative, trust me I have a far deeper level of contempt for Microsoft's business practices. Google is definitely the lesser of two evils at the moment.

Parking revenue is nice while waiting to develop the domains, but I don't count on it lasting forever.

I'm also noticing a big jump in Arabic traffic, I think its increasing more than the Russian at present.

Pardon MJ, what business practices of Microsoft's are you referring to that Microsoft hasn't long since stopped practicing? I'm honestly curious. And btw, incompetence doesn't count.

There's only one evil empire on my radar and they happen to control search on the internet.

Google is no more evil than microsoft. They both are the same.

Have had about 25,000 hits on Arabic minisites since May 1. Maybe it's catching on.
