I have FF3 beta 5 on Ubuntu. It doesn't take arabic IDNs, I hope the bug will be fixed !

Not sure if this will correct your issue. If it is in the scripting for the language it may but it is more for the ability of the program to accept add ons when using Ubuntu.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433371 then reinstall using the arabic version 3 without uninstall of the previous verison. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-rc.html Ubuntu is still a bit behind in the firefox deployments but they are coming.
