When did this happen? This makes the tool a whole lot more useful than the old style bar indicator with a rating of very low to high. It's more like overture now.

Welcome home MJ...
This happened while you were away (1 or 2 weeks ago) and is said to be a permanent change - I also was excited when first saw them... everyone I guess like I did, started to think great... no need to pay for KW searches anymore! However at closer analysis the figures seem to be full of holes (i.e. keywords entered often do not show any results - even when KW discovery or Wordtracker do show those same keywords as having high search volumes). Keyword volumes shown do not show any correlation to any of the keyword tools presently used etc. etc.. Basically there seems no way to correlate these figures to anything near actual organic search results - so general conclusion is now that these figures are near useless in their present format (perhaps has some usage for PPC - but even that is debatable). Run your own tests and keep reading around the web and your excitement will no doubt unfortunately dull a little |

I would not trust those figures. All over the net people are saying the same.
They are not from the same database as Google trends.

Yep. The tool is pretty disappointing. I don't know why Google cannot release something decent. I think trends is piss poor as well. Looks good, but I have only found one or two reasons to use it.

Yes and no... Keyword Discovery is helpful for some European languages (accepts accents / tilde characters) - so is useful for some IDN keyword research (e.g. German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish) - however it is useless for other languages (so yes and no) I have discussed Asian languages with Trellian (Keyword Discovery guys) and they told me they are working on releasing Chinese, Japanese and Korean databases (but do not know when!!!). Wordtracker I understand is only available for English - so yes, is useless for IDNs. Point of mentioning these both is:- a) some people only know wordtracker (so mentioning tells them what keyword discovery is) b) one would assume that the figures should correlate between these databases and GKT for English as the best database example (but they don't) - which suggests they will be just as inaccurate for other languages as well. Hope comments help - cheers, Asiaplay |

I may want to add functionality to idntools with the trellian partner api but then I need to have a least 50 members who are subscribed to trellian, how popular is this tool ?

I use it on a monthly basis (as needed - but will subscribe another month again soon)... I do not have a yearly membership... so depending on how they count members (i.e. as joined or currently paying) - count me as 1
