What is up with verisign pushing IDN now?

I got this a few weeks ago rom Dynadot Accounts:

Due to the success of our COM/NET Idn sale last month, we have qualified for further rebates from the central registry. Thus we have lowered our prices for COM/NET Idns even more.

COM Idn: $6.50 ($4.99 bulk)
NET Idn: $6.50 ($4.25 bulk)

I am into super-bulk pricing, so I am now paying $4.75 for COM, and $3.99 for NET.

So what is up with Verisign pushing IDN.COM and IDN.NET registrations for super-reduced prices right now? Trying to squeeze the cow before they drop a bomb, or what?

If verisign decided NOT to go for the .idn extensions this would border to criminal behaviour .

They won't... I already asked. The discounts are NOT for renewals and renewals are at the prices that are assigned to your account.

I wish I could transfer mine to domainsite... I just don't have the patience.

no problem ... get their discount and then transfer to domainsite

but as you said it is annoying especially when you are transfer a lot of domains
