Posting in Members Only forums

When you post in Members Only forums, it will not be indexed by search engines.

In general, most stuff should go into this or the other public forums unless it's something that you don't want to be made public. Only stuff that is in the public forums will help our search rankings.

I specifically put appraisals in Members Only because I don't think that appraisals should be indexed by google. Imagine if an end-user is interested in buying one of your domains and they find an appraisal for it indexed in google - it could very negatively impact your sales price.

Another problem I have found is in the sales thread. Frequently a domain is picked up by the SE showing the price that was paid for the domain many years ago. This has a negative impact on future sales.

True. Perhaps I should move sales and auctions to member's only. I had thought about this before. I will have to check it, as it might already be this way.
