As a person who heavily used FF 1 and 2, there were a number of things which aggravated me about both of them. But FF was the best browser you could get for Linux, and the safest browser you could get for Windows. Then came Opera 9, and it was slick and full of nice features (and full of bugs). The bugs pushed me back to FF 2.
I started using FF 3 a week or so ago, after I read RD post that he had been using it for a while and that he liked it. I must say that FF 3 is very nice and adds a lot of intuitive features that one would simply expect to exist. For example, you can drag and drop ANY element from the browser window to a desktop and it just works as expected. Drag an image from a browser window to your desktop or a folder, and the image is saved. Drag a link, and you get a link on your desktop, etc. Dynamic checking of malware sites against a central service, etc... Many other nice features as well. . |

Also someone who left FF2 because of the memory leaks and slowness.
But FF3 is great! Nice security and usability improvements on what was already arguably the best browser. And also a lot prettier with the new nav. buttons.. ![]() Download it know: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/?p=downloadday |

Hi Mgrohan,
Wondering if you have found any problems with Firefox plugins at all? I heard reversion back to FF2 is not an option - so just wanted some comment on plugins for Windows version before I dive in and hit the concrete. Thanks - Asiaplay |
