Trying to get the feed for the sales sections but the forumids variable isn't working, I just use the section name idn-sales,idn-auctions, etc.

Will ask Jose to have a look at it

You might ask jose to add an automatic punyconverter and to check if the translation is equal to the input because that normally means there is no translation at all. Also, since google trends outputs the relative average search amount you should be able to check which of the two is primary.

That is a totally awesome tool.

Thanks for all the inputs Bramiozo.
There is an automatic punyconverter build in (you can enter terms in punnycode format) I do check the translation and I do translate it back and check if the terms match (doing this check was hard since, for instance caps in russian don't match small caps, among other issues, lol) I do test the term and the translation back and render a Google trends chart with the two values, IF they don't match. I am not sure if this was what you were talking about... About the feeds, yes, you need to know the forum id to manually construct a feed ,and the seo opptimization is hidding it. However, if you're using the best browser in the world (Opera), it shows a rss icon on the address bar and you just need to click on it. Other way to do this is to view source and search for RSS and look for a link like this one: hxxp://www.dnlocal.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=232 There you'll find the forum id.

Ahhh.. firefox also shows it in the address bar, you learn every day :
Thanks for explanation though. What I meant with the trends is that you can automatically check which is premium from the relative values that google now gives. The translator may indicate the official term while the inputted term is actually the popular term, the trends value will point that out. You also give the number of ads, can you tell how (perhaps by pm) ? Greetz, Bram Last edited by Bramiozo : 9th July 2008 at 01:32:52. |

I was thinking about doing it, but I got the feeling sooner or later we would get THIS breaking news. I guess it was today!

What great fun. It has its hits and misses, but on the whole seems to work pretty well. Thanks Jose.
