Hi,

I own the .COM version of your domain name xn--mkel-load.info and I want to sell it.

I was wondering if you would be interested in buying this domain for $195 seeing as though you own the same domain but in another extension ?

So I checked xn--mkel-load.com and it was free; not anymore.

I have a script that I cron run regularly that alerts me if any of my domains on a better extension the one I own is free. (in this order of importance: info->org->net->com)

The outcome is funny thought: 90% of the times, the alert makes me realise my initial domain registration was a mistake, lol.

He is one of those that pick up .com drops based on whether other extensions are taken, and then contact the other extension owners with an offer. If they don't get back to him within the grace period, he drops the name.

Quite a good strategy really, except in this case he dropped it too early. Possibly he was late sending the email.

Funny thing is, I doubt these drop catchers ever know the real value of the domains they pick up (in the case of IDNs, they probably don't even know what the term means or even what language it is in).

Well, in this case, it was an extremely popular Finnish surname (Mäkelä). I doubt I could sell it anytime soon, but picking up the com for $5.75 was not bad.

Yes, Dynadot still has their IDN sale going on, even though the ending date has passed...
