anybody ever try and register any .tr names. I tried a year or so ago, no luck.
it wasn't an easy process the best I remember.

You need to have a registered business in Turkey to register dot COM.TR.

Dot TR will probably become somewhat popular if they ever begin to allow second-level registrations, but dot COM already has an incredibly strong grip there.

The thing is that Turks love their porn, but the country is embattled by religious elements that keep trying to wrestle control of the government. So, dot COM will always be popular in Turkey IMO.

Case in point: you don't see any registrations for porno.com.tr or sex.com.tr today, do you?

60% of the Turkish population is currently between 14-20 years old. At this age, they aren't thinking about getting a loan - they just want to see something naked.
