Yes, finally the typo domains have been kicked out of the serps, at least by Google Finland! Each country's Google team makes it's own matching policy, so I don't know if this has taken effect in any other countries yet. Notice below, google.fi has kicked the typo domain out of the serps, but google.com has not. No matter, google.com isn't the default in Finland, and it isn't widely used.
Consider the finnish word for girl "tyttö": tytto.net is indexed: http://www.google.fi/search?hl=fi&q=...btnG=Hae&meta= But if you search "tyttö site:tytto.net" - 0 results (this used to give results) http://www.google.fi/search?source=i...gle-haku&meta= If you search "tyttö site:tyttö.net" - 1 result http://www.google.fi/search?hl=fi&q=...btnG=Hae&meta= if you search "tyttö site:tytto.net" on google.com - 1 result http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search Really awesome. Stuff like this always makes my day. .
