Let me start first. I made this site, 电脑百科.com, to test how domain name can help page ranking. After a couple of months when this was launched, it appeared at the first page of google.com SERP, (for the keyword 电脑百科, Computer Encyclopedia) although there is almost no content! After another month or so when I added some content, it ranked 4 or 5 on google.com and google.cn. But it does not rank well on baidu.com. So I think domain name indeed help a lot at least for google rankings. Not sure about what happened to baidu ranking.
Now it disappeared from google.com and google.cn SERPs. I am not sure why. Maybe I did not do anything for it for long or maybe I redirected all my other names to it and google does not like that?
I am planing to do another serious development. Of course, I have to hire someone since my skill is just enough to install a Mediawiki. Will show it here when it is done.

Looks like it's on the wrong side of the Chinese firewall, according to this site. Baidu might exclude it because of that.
