It appears that you need to have the domain name in a page title for yandex to return serps for domain name searches.

Yandex indexes russian IDN's

Nothing new. I have had my IDN sites indexed for nearly a year now.

Have been getting quite some traffic on a few of my listed IDNs from Yandex so far..

The requirements to get indexed are:

(1) That your site is written totally in Russian (i guess many parked sites do not meet either of these requirements - that is if Yandex is not already blocking parked domains?).
and/or
(2) Your site is hosted in Russia,


Also your site needs to be:

(1) manually submitted to Yandex,
Yandex Submit
or
(2) have a backlink contained on a site that is already crawled by Yandex (i.e. any Russian directory will do)
