Thai adwords support

Not sure when it started but Thai is now officially an adwords supported language now. Finally!

Few months ago I had a "certain product" manufacturer wanting to give me 20 bucks for a domain that defines his business

That was after three initial emails of his, which went unanswered. Persistent fucker; cheap too.

I told him he owes me $20 just for reading his emails.

That is a shame. Can't say as I've had any luck reselling Thai domains either, although I haven't really made any effort. I talked to one guy in the orchid business but he did not realize the value of the domain, and I don't think it's a profitable endeavor to try educating people who don't get it.

But Thai adsense being legit is great, because the choices for monetizing Thai domains are few and far between.

I think it will be a long time before the Thai's in general come to realise the potential use and value of domains let alone IDN.

My original portfolio of 250 + Thai names has now been whittled down to 50 - As you said - sad! Concentrated efforts towards China.

I have some Thai domains getting good traffic... Thai is good in my eyes. Like said above, it's just monetizing the traffic that's driving me crazy.

I agree, I still like the Thai domains. But I have not been able to make any real money off them either by selling or using affiliate programs. So I'm glad to plaster adsense all over my Thai language sites. One notable exception - hotel reservation programs.

My general inclination is to start building real sites. To date I've been posting sites with a half dozen or so pages of static content. They get noticed by search engines, but are of fleeting interest to real people. More to the point, the people that come from the search engines make me no money!

Now I'll be able to use the big money from those 2 and 3 cent clicks on adsense to finance a real site or two. There are still plenty of battles to fight though. The hosting landscape in BKK is horrible, and without decent connectivity it's hard to expect things to change any time soon.
